Mountain Heritage Cougars (Burnsville, NC) supporters left the game satisfied Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad nudge the host Avery County Vikings (Newland, NC), 26-20 in a league match.

With the victory, Mountain Heritage advances its record to 8-5 on the year. The Cougars host North Henderson (Hendersonville, NC) to face the Knights in a non-league match on Wednesday, February 12. The Knights enter the match with a record of 7-9.
