In Friday's league contest, the host Mica Mountain Thunderbolts basketball team scored a close 93-87 triumph over the Ironwood Ridge Nighthawks.

The Thunderbolts (14-2) will now prepare for their contest against Sahuaro (Tucson, AZ). The Cougars go into the contest with a 3-5 record. In their last contest, Sahuaro was tipped by Ironwood Ridge (Tucson, AZ), 67-58, in a league contest.
