Wesson Cobras (Wesson, MS) supporters exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they witnessed their baseball team beat the visiting Franklin County Bulldogs (Meadville, MS), 5-0 in a non-league game.

The Cobras (1-0) will now prepare for their game against Lawrence County (Monticello, MS). The Cougars go into the non-league game with a 0-1 record. In their last game, Lawrence County was overwhelmed by Enterprise (Brookhaven, MS), 9-2, in a non-league game.

Next, the Bulldogs play the Bogue Chitto Bobcats (Bogue Chitto, MS) in a non-league outing, on Saturday, February 7. Franklin County will attempt to advance on its 1-1 season record.
