Georgia High School Basketball - Long County crushes Appling County
February 8, 2022: Ludowici, GA 31316 Long County Blue Tide (Ludowici, GA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Appling County Pirates (Baxley, GA), 77-49 in a league bout.
With the win, Long County upgrades its record to 13-9 on the season. The Blue Tide travel to Tattnall County (Reidsville, GA) to play the Warriors in a AAA Region 1 bout on Friday, February 11. The Warriors go into the bout with a record of 17-5. Tattnall County won 71-64 in their recent league bout against Brantley County (Nahunta, GA)
Next up, the Pirates play the Toombs County Bulldogs (Lyons, GA) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, February 10. Appling County will attempt to upgrade on its 3-13 season record. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a 4-19 record after their 68-61 non-league loss to Wheeler County (Alamo, GA).
