The St. Edward Eagles (Lakewood, OH) basketball nipped the visiting Solon Comets (Solon, OH), 63-59 in Tuesday's non-league test.

The Eagles (14-2) will now prepare for their test against St. Vincent-St. Mary (Akron, OH). The Fighting Irish go into the Freelance test with a 15-3 record. In their last test, St. Vincent-St. Mary got by Lutheran East (Cleveland Heights, OH), 77-60, in a non-league test.

The Comets now own a 14-5 record. They play next when they host Euclid for a Greater Cleveland test on Friday, February 11. Solon will encounter a Panthers squad coming off a 71-67 non-league loss to Walsh Jesuit (Cuyahoga Falls, OH). The Panthers record now stands at 8-9.
