Ohio High School Basketball - Solon fells Mentor

January 14, 2022: Solon, OH 44139

Solon Comets (Solon, OH) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Mentor Cardinals (Mentor, OH), 70-60 in a league bout.

With the win, Solon upgrades its record to 6-4 on the season. The Comets travel to Archbishop Hoban (Akron, OH) to clash with the Knights in a non-league bout on Sunday, January 16. The Knights go into the bout with a record of 8-4. Archbishop Hoban lost 49-40 in their recent non-league bout against Maple Heights (Maple Heights, OH)

Next up, the Cardinals clash with the Chaney Cowboys (Youngstown, OH) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, January 15. Mentor will attempt to upgrade on its 6-3 season record. The Cowboys go into the bout with a 9-5 record after their 63-41 league win over Cardinal Mooney (Youngstown, OH).
