Maryland High School Basketball - Clear Spring thwarts Catoctin
February 8, 2023: Clear Spring, MD 21722 The Clear Spring Blazers (Clear Spring, MD) basketball knocked off the visiting Catoctin Cougars (Thurmont, MD), 55-43 in Wednesday's non-league test.
The Blazers (8-10) will now prepare for their test against Mountain Ridge (Frostburg, MD). The Miners go into the non-league test with a 7-10 record. In their last test, Mountain Ridge went down by Fort Hill (Cumberland, MD), 75-67, in a league test.
The Cougars now own a 2-13 record. They play next when they travel to Williamsport for a CMC test on Tuesday, February 14. Catoctin will encounter a Wildcats squad coming off a 71-67 league loss to North Hagerstown (Hagerstown, MD). The Wildcats record now stands at 8-9.
