Illinois High School Basketball - De Smet Jesuit overwhelms Granite City
February 8, 2023: Granite City, IL 62040 Fans at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the De Smet Jesuit Spartans (St. Louis, MO) and the host Granite City Warriors (Granite City, IL), saw De Smet Jesuit's basketball squad wallop Granite City by a tally of 62-34.
With the victory, De Smet Jesuit improves its record to 13-5 on the campaign. The Spartans host Christian Brothers (St. Louis, MO) to play the Cadets in a Metro Catholic challenge on Friday, February 10. The Cadets come into the challenge with a record of 13-9.
Next up, the Warriors play the Althoff Catholic Crusaders (Belleville, IL) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, February 10. Granite City will attempt to improve on its 14-14 season record. The Crusaders come into the challenge with a 8-20 record after their 50-44 league loss to Cahokia (Cahokia, IL).
