New York High School Basketball - Nichols tops St. Francis
February 8, 2023: Buffalo, NY 14216 Fans at Wednesday's league challenge between the Nichols Vikings (Buffalo, NY) and the visiting St. Francis Red Raiders (Hamburg, NY), saw Nichols's basketball squad knock off St. Francis by a tally of 70-58.
With the victory, Nichols improves its record to 12-8 on the campaign. The Vikings host St. Mary's (Lancaster, NY) to play the Lancers in a Monsignor Martin challenge on Friday, February 10. The Lancers come into the challenge with a record of 7-12. St. Mary's lost 84-51 in their recent league challenge against Canisius (Buffalo, NY)
Next up, the Red Raiders play the Cardinal O'Hara Hawks (Tonawanda, NY) in a Monsignor Martin challenge, on Friday, February 10. St. Francis will attempt to improve on its 10-11 season record. The Hawks come into the challenge with a 5-16 record after their 78-49 league loss to St. Joseph's Collegiate Institute (Buffalo, NY).
