February 8, 2023: St. Matthews, SC 29135 The Calhoun Academy Cavaliers basketball team (St. Matthews, SC), dropped 47-37 in Wednesday's non-league battle with the visiting Laurence Manning Academy Swampcats (Manning, SC)
The Swampcats now possess a 3-10 record. They put it on the line next when they host Wilson Hall for a SCISA AAAA Region II battle on Friday, February 10. Laurence Manning Academy will battle a Barons team coming off a 44-22 non-league win over Cardinal Newman (Columbia, SC). The Barons record now stands at 5-10.
The Cavaliers (10-13) will now prepare for their battle against Dorchester Academy (St. George, SC). The Raiders come into the SCISA AA Region I battle with a 8-7 record. In their last battle, Dorchester Academy beat Andrew Jackson Academy (Ehrhardt, SC), 43-32, in a league battle.
