Illinois High School Basketball - Shepard ripped by Lincoln-Way East
February 8, 2023: Frankfort, IL 60423 The Lincoln-Way East Griffins basketball team scored 55 points and held the visiting Shepard Astros to 24 in the Griffins non-league triumph on Wednesday.
The Griffins now sport a 19-10 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Plainfield South for a non-league contest on Thursday, February 9. Lincoln-Way East will meet a Cougars team coming off a 75-40 league loss to Plainfield East (Plainfield, IL). The Cougars record now stands at 6-20.
The Astros (15-13) will now prepare for their contest against EPIC Academy (Chicago, IL). The The Legends enter the non-league contest with a 6-7 record. In their last contest, EPIC Academy triumphed over Hirsch (Chicago, IL), 64-10, in a non-league contest.
