New York High School Ice Hockey - Northeastern Clinton held off by Lake Placid
February 8, 2023: Champlain, NY 12919 In Wednesday's league challenge, the Lake Placid Bombers (Lake Placid, NY) ice hockey team nudged the host Northeastern Clinton Cougars (Champlain, NY), by a margin of 5-4.
The Bombers now possess a 2-1 record. They play next when they host Beekmantown for a Champlain Valley Athletic Conference battle on Thursday, February 9. Lake Placid will play a Eagles team coming off a 10-0 league win over Plattsburgh (Plattsburgh, NY). The Eagles record now stands at 13-1.
The Cougars (2-4) will now prepare for their battle against Saranac (Saranac, NY). The Chiefs come into the Champlain Valley Athletic Conference battle with a 10-5 record. In their last battle, Saranac was edged by Saratoga Springs (Saratoga Springs, NY), 4-2, in a non-league battle.
