Minneapolis Southwest Lakers (Minneapolis, MN) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Edison Tommies (Minneapolis, MN), 70-20 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Minneapolis Southwest upgrades its record to 18-5 on the season. The Lakers travel to Robbinsdale Armstrong (Plymouth, MN) to play the Falcons in a AAAA Section 6 bout on Friday, February 9. The Falcons go into the bout with a record of 7-14. Robbinsdale Armstrong lost 68-61 in their recent non-league bout against Coon Rapids (Coon Rapids, MN)

Next up, the Tommies play the Breck Mustangs (Minneapolis, MN) in a non-league bout, on Friday, February 9. Edison will attempt to upgrade on its 0-23 season record. The Mustangs go into the bout with a 8-16 record after their 56-53 non-league loss to Hawley (Hawley, MN).
