In Thursday's league outing, the Elgin Comets (Marion, OH) basketball squad beat the visiting Perry Commodores (Lima, OH), by a margin of 53-40.

The Comets (13-6) will now prepare for their outing against North Union (Richwood, OH). The Wildcats go into the non-league outing with a 14-7 record. In their last outing, North Union defeated Northwestern (Springfield, OH), 64-17, in a league outing.
