The Vel Phillips Memorial Spartans basketball team scored 42 points and restricted the visiting Sun Prairie West Wolves to 38 in the Spartans league victory on Thursday.

The Spartans now sport a 13-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Madison West for a Big Eight contest on Friday, February 9. Vel Phillips Memorial will battle a Regents team coming off a 62-26 league loss to Janesville Parker (Janesville, WI). The Regents record now stands at 3-17.
