The Overton Eagles basketball team scored 40 points and limited the visiting Amherst Broncos to 35 in the Eagles non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Eagles now have a 13-8 record. They play next when they travel to Wilcox-Hildreth for a D2 District 6 game on Tuesday, February 11. Overton will confront a Falcons team coming off a 49-40 non-league loss to Elm Creek (Elm Creek, NE). The Falcons record now stands at 15-7.

With the loss, Amherst falls to 12-9 on the campaign. The Broncos travel to Elm Creek (Elm Creek, NE) to confront the Buffaloes in a D1 District 9 game on Thursday, February 13. The Buffaloes go into the game with a record of 20-1.
