Illinois High School Basketball - Clinton crushes Unity Christian
February 8, 2025: Clinton, IL 61727 The Clinton Maroons (Clinton, IL) basketball crushed the visiting Unity Christian Lions (Decatur, IL), 83-28 in Saturday's non-league bout.
The Maroons now possess a 23-5 record. They play next when they travel to Mt. Pulaski for a non-league bout on Monday, February 10. Clinton will play a Hilltoppers team coming off a 48-32 non-league win over Central A & M (Moweaqua, IL). The Hilltoppers record now stands at 17-7.
With the loss, Unity Christian falls to 10-16 on the campaign. The Lions travel to Arcola (Arcola, IL) to play the Purple Riders in a Lincoln Prairie bout on Monday, February 10. The Purple Riders go into the bout with a record of 18-9. Arcola won 53-32 in their recent league bout against Cerro Gordo/Bement (Cerro Gordo, IL)
