New Mexico High School Basketball - Tularosa tops Lordsburg
February 9, 2022: Tularosa, NM 88352 Fans at Wednesday's league challenge between the Tularosa Wildcats (Tularosa, NM) and the visiting Lordsburg Mavericks (Lordsburg, NM), saw Tularosa's basketball squad knock off Lordsburg by a tally of 48-40.
With the victory, Tularosa improves its record to 9-7 on the campaign. The Wildcats travel to Mescalero Apache (Mescalero, NM) to play the Chiefs in a 2A District 3 challenge on Thursday, February 10. The Chiefs come into the challenge with a record of 14-7. Mescalero Apache lost 68-39 in their recent league challenge against Lordsburg (Lordsburg, NM)
Next up, the Mavericks play the Cloudcroft Bears (Cloudcroft, NM) in a 2A District 3 challenge, on Friday, February 11. Lordsburg will attempt to improve on its 10-9 season record. The Bears come into the challenge with a 1-19 record after their 49-17 league loss to Capitan (Capitan, NM).
