Ohio High School Basketball - Cardinal Mooney can't hold off Ursuline
February 9, 2024: Youngstown, OH 44507 The Ursuline Fighting Irish basketball team scored 43 points and held the host Cardinal Mooney Cardinals to 39 in the Fighting Irish league triumph on Friday.
The Fighting Irish now sport a 14-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Archbishop Hoban for a non-league contest on Tuesday, February 13. Ursuline will battle a Knights team coming off a 74-26 non-league win over East (Akron, OH). The Knights record now stands at 13-6.
The Cardinals (14-5) will now prepare for their contest against Chaney (Youngstown, OH). The Cowboys enter the Steel Valley contest with a 5-8 record. In their last contest, Chaney was nudged by East (Youngstown, OH), 54-44, in a league contest.
