The Long Reach Lightning basketball team scored 69 points and held the host Hammond Golden Bears to 45 in the Lightning league triumph on Friday.

The Lightning now sport a 19-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to River Hill for a Howard County contest on Monday, February 12. Long Reach will meet a Hawks team coming off a 70-61 league win over Wilde Lake (Columbia, MD). The Hawks record now stands at 17-2.

The Golden Bears (6-12) will now prepare for their contest against Mt. Hebron (Ellicott City, MD). The Vikings enter the Howard County contest with a 11-7 record. In their last contest, Mt. Hebron triumphed over Glenelg (Glenelg, MD), 56-49, in a league contest.
