The Marfa Shorthorns overwhelmed the visiting Sierra Blanca Vaqueros basketball squad by a margin of 49-18 in Friday's league outing.

The Shorthorns (16-10) will now prepare for their outing against Dell City (Dell City, TX). The Cougars go into the 1A Region II District 9 outing with a 6-10 record. In their last outing, Dell City was trounced by Balmorhea (Balmorhea, TX), 66-46, in a league outing.
