The Marion Wildcats basketball team scored 28 points and held the visiting Mt. Vernon Rams to 25 in the Wildcats league triumph on Friday.

The Wildcats now sport a 19-11 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Cahokia for a South Seven contest on Wednesday, February 14.

The Rams (20-9) will now prepare for their contest against Carbondale (Carbondale, IL). The Terriers enter the South Seven contest with a 11-17 record. In their last contest, Carbondale was nudged by Centralia (Centralia, IL), 58-35, in a league contest.
