In Friday's league outing, the Nixon Mustangs (Laredo, TX) basketball squad overwhelmed the visiting Rio Grande City Rattlers (Rio Grande City, TX), by a margin of 87-56.

The Mustangs (24-9) will now prepare for their outing against Martin (Laredo, TX). The Tigers go into the 5A Region IV District 30 outing with a 16-15 record. In their last outing, Martin smashed Palmview (La Joya, TX), 50-48, in a league outing.
