Texas High School Soccer - Austin nudges Mountain View
February 9, 2024: El Paso, TX 79938 Austin Panthers (El Paso, TX) supporters were pleased Friday as they observed their soccer team hold off the host Mountain View Lobos (El Paso, TX), 2-1 in a league challenge.
Next, the Panthers confront the Fabens Wildcats (Fabens, TX) in a 4A Region 1 District 1 challenge, on Tuesday, February 13. Austin will attempt to move on its 8-7 season record. The Wildcats enter the challenge with a 1-9 record after their 9-0 league loss to Riverside (El Paso, TX).
The Lobos now possess a 1-11 record. They take the field next when they host San Elizario for a 4A Region 1 District 1 challenge on Tuesday, February 13. Mountain View will confront a Eagles team coming off a 5-1 league win over Clint (Clint, TX). The Eagles record now stands at 9-3.
