Minnesota High School Basketball - Jefferson nips Orono
March 1, 2022: Long Lake, MN 55356 Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Jefferson Jaguars (Bloomington, MN) and the host Orono Spartans (Long Lake, MN), saw Jefferson's basketball squad hold off Orono by a tally of 73-70.
With the victory, Jefferson improves its record to 19-6 on the campaign. The Jaguars host St. Louis Park (St. Louis Park, MN) to play the Orioles in a non-league challenge on Friday, March 4. The Orioles come into the challenge with a record of 9-14. St. Louis Park lost 70-67 in their recent non-league challenge against Chaska (Chaska, MN)
Next up, the Spartans play the Kennedy Eagles (Bloomington, MN) in a AAA Section 6 challenge, on Thursday, March 3. Orono will attempt to improve on its 18-6 season record. The Eagles come into the challenge with a 4-16 record after their 56-47 non-league loss to New Prague (New Prague, MN).
