Utah High School Basketball - Piute tops Water Canyon
March 1, 2023: Hildale, UT 84784 Fans at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the Piute Thunderbirds (Junction, UT) and the host Water Canyon Wildcats (Hildale, UT), saw Piute's basketball squad knock off Water Canyon by a tally of 52-40.
With the victory, Piute improves its record to 19-5 on the campaign. The Thunderbirds travel to Valley (Orderville, UT) to play the Buffalos in a non-league challenge on Thursday, March 2. The Buffalos come into the challenge with a record of 16-7. Valley won 45-41 in their recent non-league challenge against Monticello (Monticello, UT)
Next up, the Wildcats play the Monticello Buckaroo (Monticello, UT) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, March 2. Water Canyon will attempt to improve on its 7-11 season record. The Buckaroo come into the challenge with a 11-10 record after their 45-41 non-league loss to Valley (Orderville, UT).
