Utah High School Basketball - Lehi nipped by Spanish Fork
March 1, 2023: Spanish Fork, UT 84660 The Spanish Fork Dons tipped the visiting Lehi Pioneers basketball team by a final score of 46-41 in Wednesday's non-league game.
In their next game, the Dons face the Springville Red Devils (Springville, UT) in a non-league game, on Friday, March 3. Spanish Fork will attempt to move on its 12-12 season record. The Red Devils enter the game with a 22-2 record after their 51-49 non-league win over Timpanogos (Orem, UT).
With the defeat, Lehi moves to 17-7 on the year.
First Quarter
Addy Scrivner scored 11 points in the first quarter hitting three 3-point baskets. Lehi scored 19 points and Spanish Fork had 13. Lehi takes a 6- point lead going into the second period.
Second Quarter
Spanish Fork held Lehi to just 6 second quarter points while scoring 11. The score at the end of the first half is 25 to 24 in favor of Lehi.
Third Quarter
Spanish Fork outscored Lehi 10 to 6 in the third quarter and takes a 3-point lead in to the final period.
Fourth Quarter
Addy Scrivner made two 3-pointers in the final quarter but it was not enough as Spanish Fork comes away with a 46 to 41 win. This ends the season for the Pioneers with a record of 17-7.
