Celeste Blue Devils (Celeste, TX) fans exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Bland Tigers (Merit, TX), 8-7 in a league challenge.

The Blue Devils now sport a 3-4 record. They take the field next when they host North Hopkins for a 1A Region II District 16 challenge on Tuesday, March 21.

With the loss, Bland falls to 1-9 on the campaign. The Tigers travel to Wolfe City (Wolfe City, TX) to face the Wolves in a 1A Region II District 16 challenge on Monday, March 13. The Wolves enter the challenge with a record of 2-6. Wolfe City lost 12-2 in their recent non-league challenge against Anna (Anna, TX)
