The Neches Tigers routed the visiting Martins Mill Mustangs softball squad by a count of 8-3 in Friday's league battle.

The Tigers (2-0) will now prepare for their battle against Cayuga (Cayuga, TX). The Wildcats go into the 2A Region III District 20 battle with a 7-7 record. In their last battle, Cayuga was routed by Slocum (Elkhart, TX), 11-4, in a non-league battle.
