The Buffalo Bison softball team scored 20 runs and held the host Mexia Black Cats to 0 in the Bison league triumph on Tuesday.

Next, the Bison meet the Fairfield Eagles (Fairfield, TX) in a 3A Region III District 20 challenge, on Friday, March 13. Buffalo will attempt to upgrade on its 6-11 season record. The Eagles enter the challenge with a 8-5 record after their 11-5 non-league win over Palestine (Palestine, TX).

The Black Cats (1-8) will now prepare for their challenge against Elkhart (Elkhart, TX). The Elks enter the 3A Region III District 20 challenge with a 14-3 record. In their last challenge, Elkhart overcame Westwood (Palestine, TX), 25-1, in a league challenge.
