The Alexander Central Cougars softball team scored 21 runs and limited the host North Lincoln Knights to 4 in the Cougars non-league triumph on Friday.

With the triumph, Alexander Central moves its record to 6-0 on the year. The Cougars host R-S Central (Rutherfordton, NC) to clash with the Hilltoppers in a non-league game on Monday, March 14. The Hilltoppers come into the game with a record of 2-3. R-S Central won 6-4 in their recent non-league game against McDowell (Marion, NC)

In their next game, the Knights clash with the Hickory Red Tornadoes (Hickory, NC) in a Western Foothills 3A game, on Tuesday, March 15. North Lincoln will attempt to move on its 3-3 season record. The Red Tornadoes come into the game with a 1-4 record after their 14-3 non-league loss to Hibriten (Lenoir, NC).
