Cary Imps (Cary, NC) fans exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Athens Drive Jaguars (Raleigh, NC), 6-4 in a non-league challenge.

The Imps now sport a 2-4 record. They take the field next when they host Green Level for a Southwest Wake 4A challenge on Tuesday, March 15. Cary will face a Gators squad coming off a 14-0 non-league loss to Willow Spring (Fuquay-Varina, NC). The Gators record now stands at 0-3.

With the loss, Athens Drive falls to 1-4 on the campaign. The Jaguars host Wakefield (Raleigh, NC) to face the Wolverines in a non-league challenge on Thursday, March 17. The Wolverines enter the challenge with a record of 5-1.
