Yorktown Wildcats (Yorktown, TX) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the visiting Woodsboro Eagles (Woodsboro, TX), 19-4 in a league challenge.

The Wildcats now own a 1-2 record. They take the field next when they host Port Aransas for a 2A Region IV District 30 challenge on Thursday, March 17. Yorktown will face a Marlins squad coming off a 15-0 league loss to Refugio (Refugio, TX). The Marlins record now stands at 6-14.

With the loss, Woodsboro falls to 5-6 on the campaign. The Eagles host Falls City (Falls City, TX) to face the Beavers in a 2A Region IV District 30 challenge on Tuesday, March 15.
