California High School Volleyball - Merced tips El Capitan

March 11, 2023: Merced, CA 95348

The crowd at Saturday's non-league bout between the Merced Bears (Merced, CA) and the host El Capitan Gauchos (Merced, CA), saw Merced's volleyball squad nip El Capitan by a tally of 2-1.

With the win, Merced upgrades its record to 14-6 on the year. The Bears host Atwater (Atwater, CA) to play the Falcons in a Central California Conference bout on Monday, March 13. The Falcons go into the bout with a record of 1-3. Atwater lost 3-0 in their recent league bout against Patterson (Patterson, CA)

The Gauchos now own a 8-1 record. They play next when they host Fresno for a non-league bout on Monday, March 13. El Capitan will play a Warriors squad coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Enochs (Modesto, CA). The Warriors record now stands at 2-10.
