The Cypress Centurions nipped the visiting Desert Vista Thunder softball squad by a final score of 1-0 in Saturday's non-league battle.

The Centurions (5-6) will now prepare for their battle against Kennedy (La Palma, CA). The Fighting Irish go into the Empire battle with a 6-8 record. In their last battle, Kennedy was edged by Santiago (Corona, CA), 12-9, in a non-league battle.

The Thunder now possess a 10-4 record. They play next when they travel to Mountain View for a non-league battle on Tuesday, March 15. Desert Vista will meet a Toros squad coming off a 9-5 non-league win over Chandler (Chandler, AZ). The Toros record now stands at 9-2.
