Alabama High School Softball - Brantley nudges Ariton
March 12, 2024: Ariton, AL 36311 Brantley Bulldogs (Brantley, AL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Ariton Purple Cats (Ariton, AL), 7-6 in a non-league challenge.
The Bulldogs now own a 6-3 record. They take the field next when they host Red Level for a 1A Area 3 challenge on Thursday, March 14. Brantley will battle a Tigers squad coming off a 7-1 league win over McKenzie (McKenzie, AL). The Tigers record now stands at 7-3.
With the loss, Ariton falls to 6-4 on the campaign. The Purple cats travel to Zion Chapel (Jack, AL) to battle the Rebels in a non-league challenge on Thursday, March 14. The Rebels enter the challenge with a record of 13-1. Zion Chapel won 9-4 in their recent league challenge against Luverne (Luverne, AL)
