California High School Softball - Mission Viejo nudges Santa Margarita
March 12, 2024: Rancho Santa Margarita, CA 92688 Mission Viejo Diablos (Mission Viejo, CA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Santa Margarita Eagles (Rancho Santa Margarita, CA), 5-4 in a non-league challenge.
The Diablos now own a 9-2 record. They take the field next when they host Dana Hills for a South Coast challenge on Tuesday, March 19. Mission Viejo will battle a Dolphins squad coming off a 7-4 non-league win over San Clemente (San Clemente, CA). The Dolphins record now stands at 5-3.
With the loss, Santa Margarita falls to 7-4 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to Woodbridge (Irvine, CA) to battle the Warriors in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, March 13. The Warriors enter the challenge with a record of 4-3. Woodbridge won 16-0 in their recent league challenge against Portola (Irvine, CA)
