March 12, 2025: Kentwood, LA 70444 Sumner Cowboys (Kentwood, LA) followers left the game pleased Wednesday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the visiting Varnado Wildcats (Angie, LA), 12-1 in a non-league match.
With the triumph, Sumner moves its record to 6-8 on the season. The Cowboys host Springfield (Springfield, LA) to battle the Bulldogs in a 3A District 8 match on Thursday, March 13. The Bulldogs come into the match with a record of 8-7. Springfield won 9-7 in their recent league match against Sumner (Kentwood, LA)
The Wildcats now possess a 1-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Albany for a non-league match on Friday, March 14. Varnado will confront a Hornets squad coming off a 12-6 league loss to Pine (Franklinton, LA). The Hornets record now stands at 7-7.
