In Wednesday's non-league challenge, the host North Brunswick Scorpions lacrosse squad scored a tight 7-5 triumph over the West Carteret Patriots.

The Scorpions (6-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Swansboro (Swansboro, NC). The Pirates go into the non-league challenge with a 3-4 record. In their last battle, Swansboro was nudged by Cape Fear Academy (Wilmington, NC), 8-2, in a non-league battle.

The Patriots now sport a 0-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Havelock for a non-league battle on Friday, March 14. West Carteret will encounter a Rams team coming off a 22-7 league loss to New Bern (New Bern, NC). The Rams record now stands at 0-1.
