In Thursday's league test, the Sumter Gamecocks (Sumter, SC) softball squad overwhelmed the host Spring Valley Vikings (Columbia, SC), by a tally of 13-1.

Next, the Gamecocks meet the South Florence Bruins (Florence, SC) in a non-league test, on Friday, March 13. Sumter will attempt to advance on its 4-3 season record. The Bruins go into the test with a 4-1 record after their 17-0 league win over Crestwood (Sumter, SC).
