Alabama High School Soccer - Florence nudges Tharptown
March 13, 2023: Florence, AL 35630 Florence Falcons (Florence, AL) fans were thrilled Monday as they observed their soccer team hold off the visiting Tharptown Wildcats (Russellville, AL), 1-0 in a non-league challenge.
Next, the Falcons confront the Cullman Bearcats (Cullman, AL) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, March 16. Florence will attempt to better on its 8-2 season record. The Bearcats enter the challenge with a 2-3 record after their 2-0 league win over Decatur (Decatur, AL).
The Wildcats now have a 2-5 record. They take the field next when they host Muscle Shoals for a non-league challenge on Thursday, March 16. Tharptown will confront a Trojans team coming off a 3-1 non-league loss to Elkmont (Elkmont, AL). The Trojans record now stands at 5-1.
