Georgia High School Soccer - Piedmont Academy nudges Gatewood
March 13, 2025: Eatonton, GA 31024 Fans at Thursday's non-league battle between the Piedmont Academy Cougars (Monticello, GA) and the host Gatewood Gators (Eatonton, GA), saw Piedmont Academy's soccer squad hold off Gatewood by a count of 4-3.
The Cougars (2-5) will now prepare for their battle against John Milledge Academy (Milledgeville, GA). The Trojans enter the GIAA AAA/AAAA District 6 battle with a 0-4 record.
Next up, the Gators battle the Westminster Christian Academy Lions (Watkinsville, GA) in a GIAA AA District 4 battle, on Tuesday, March 18. Gatewood will attempt to upgrade on its 0-4 season record. The Lions enter the battle with a 2-0 record after their 7-0 non-league win over Loganville Christian Academy (Loganville, GA).
