The Monte Vista Monarchs triumphed over the visiting High Tech SD Storm softball squad by a count of 14-4 in Friday's non-league challenge.

Next, the Monarchs meet the Chula Vista Spartans (Chula Vista, CA) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, March 17. Monte Vista will attempt to upgrade on its 4-3 season record. The Spartans enter the challenge with a 4-2 record after their 11-6 non-league win over Crawford (San Diego, CA).
