Lamar Raiders (Meridian, MS) fans left the game pleased Friday as they observed their baseball squad achieve victory over the visiting Newton County Academy Generals (Decatur, MS), 19-0 in a non-league match.

With the triumph, Lamar advances its record to 11-2 on the season. The Raiders travel to Oak Grove (Hattiesburg, MS) to battle the Warriors in a non-league match on Friday, March 14. The Warriors come into the match with a record of 9-4. Oak Grove won 9-3 in their recent non-league match against Northeast Jones (Laurel, MS)

The Generals now have a 3-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Sylva Bay Academy for a match on Tuesday, March 18. Newton County Academy will battle a Saints squad coming off a 13-0 non-league win over Hattiesburg HomeSchool (Hattiesburg, MS). The Saints record now stands at 6-3.
