The Evangel Christian Lightning softball team scored 13 runs and held the host Wiregrass Kings to 0 in the Lightning league win on Friday.

The Lightning now possess a 8-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Ezekiel Academy for a Alabama Christian Sports battle on Monday, March 17. Evangel Christian will confront a Knights team coming off a 8-0 non-league win over Heritage Christian Academy (Hoover, AL). The Knights record now stands at 17-5.

With the loss, Wiregrass moves to 1-2 on the season. The Kings travel to Southern Christian (Opelika, AL) to confront the Patriots in a Alabama Christian Sports battle on Saturday, March 29. The Patriots come into the battle with a record of 1-8.
