United South Panthers (Laredo, TX) fans exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they observed their baseball squad hold off the host Nixon Mustangs (Laredo, TX), 4-3 in a league test.

With the win, United South upgrades its record to 4-2 on the season. The Panthers host Alexander (Laredo, TX) to play the Bulldogs in a 6A Region IV District 30 battle on Thursday, March 18. The Bulldogs enter the battle with a record of 3-3. Alexander won 13-3 in their recent league battle against Nixon (Laredo, TX)

The Mustangs now possess a 3-2 record. They take the field next when they host Eagle Pass for a 6A Region IV District 30 battle on Friday, March 19.
