Skyline Hawks (Front Royal, VA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Fauquier Falcons (Warrenton, VA), 2-0 in a league challenge.

The Hawks now own a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they host Central Woodstock for a Northwestern challenge on Wednesday, March 20. Skyline will battle a Falcons squad coming off a 0-0 non-league Stuarts Draft (Stuarts Draft, VA). The Falcons record now stands at 0-1.

With the loss, Fauquier falls to 1-2 on the campaign. The Falcons travel to Kettle Run (Nokesville, VA) to battle the Cougars in a Northwestern challenge on Monday, March 18.
