Fans at Saturday's non-league contest between the Carbon Dinos (Price, UT) and the host Vanguard Academy Knights (West Valley City, UT), observed Carbon's volleyball team top Vanguard Academy by a count of 3-0.

The Dinos (4-4) will now prepare for their contest against American Heritage (American Fork, UT). The Patriots enter the 3A Region 2 contest with a 4-4 record. In their last contest, American Heritage notched a victory over Utah Military Academy - Hill Field (Riverdale, UT), 3-1, in a non-league contest.

Next, the Knights meet the Rockwell Marshals (Eagle Mountain, UT) in a 3A Region 3 contest, on Tuesday, March 18. Vanguard Academy will attempt to move on its 2-2 season record. The Marshals enter the contest with a 0-5 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to Juan Diego Catholic (Draper, UT).
