The Watauga Pioneers the host Weddington Warriors baseball team by a count of 7-2 in Saturday's non-league bout.

The Pioneers now possess a 5-1 record. They take the field next when they host South Caldwell for a Northwestern 3A/4A bout on Tuesday, March 19. Watauga will face a Spartans team coming off a 4-3 non-league win over North Gaston (Dallas, NC). The Spartans record now stands at 4-2.
