The Watauga Pioneers baseball team (Boone, NC), was overwhelmed 10-0 in Thursday's non-league outing with the host South Mecklenburg Sabres (Charlotte, NC)

The Sabres now hold a 2-0 record. They take the field next when they host Kings Mountain for a non-league outing on Tuesday, March 5.

Next, the Pioneers face the St. Stephens Indians (Hickory, NC) in a non-league outing, on Monday, March 4. Watauga will attempt to advance on its 1-1 season record. The Indians enter the outing with a 1-0 record after their 14-3 non-league win over Bunker Hill (Claremont, NC).
